How a fare range is built

• Each leg carries its own estimated range, payment method and how recently it was seen.
• New reports are treated as observations, not replacements — one report does not rewrite a trusted fare.
• Several independent reports that agree tighten the range and raise confidence.
• Reports that contradict each other widen the range, and the step is shown as less certain.
• Old observations lose influence over time, so a stale fare doesn't sit there forever.

How you pay

Danfo

Cash, paid to the conductor — Rises with traffic, rain and rush hour.

Keke napep

Cash — Short inner-road hops; often negotiated.

BRT

Cowry card — Fixed by distance, steadier than danfo.

Train (Blue & Red line)

Cowry card — Fixed fare per trip.

Ferry

Card or terminal payment — Depends on the operator and jetty.

Okada / taxi

Cash or app — Used only for last-mile hops.

Rail service windows

Train legs use the official LAMATA timetables, so a train only appears in your plan when one is genuinely running.

  5:40 AM – 9:52 PM, Monday to Saturday

• Red Line

  5 trains daily, 6:15 AM – 8:40 PM, Monday to Friday

  Agbado · Iju · Agege · Ikeja · Oshodi · Mushin · Yaba · Oyingbo

What your reports do

• Report a fare — updates the range for that leg once other commuters see the same thing.
• Wrong stop — flags a boarding or alighting hint so we stop showing it when enough people agree.
• Bridge not needed — removes an unnecessary crossing from future plans on that corridor.
• Route no longer runs — lowers the confidence of that connection until it is confirmed again.

Nothing is deleted. Previous values are kept with their evidence, so a change can always be traced or reversed.
